Maintenance Technician
WHO is Sound Generations?We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County.
Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.
We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Minor Home Repair Team in Seattle, WA! The Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance to the homes of qualified homeowners utilizing working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Pay Rate:
$26.
50 per hour.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Benefits Great Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance coverage.
Employer paid 401k plan 3 weeks paid vacation.
Plus, paid sick leave, 2 personal days and 10 paid holidays.
Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Commuter benefits and more! Responsibilities Independently perform semi-skilled work in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Under the technical direction of a journey-level trades worker or the director of the program, perform skilled work in electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
Perform minor home repairs in the following categories:
plumbing, electrical, carpentry and retrofit.
Operate hand tools, power tools and other equipment as needed.
Operate automotive equipment to transport materials and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness of organization vehicles.
Report all vehicle performance or safety issues to manager.
Maintain accurate and complete records.
Comply with established safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications High School Diploma OR Equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience preferred.
Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
Must have a valid WA State Driver's License.
